Receipts, matchbooks, and other almost-nothings that somehow hold a whole evening.
Some souvenirs are never sold as souvenirs. A paper coaster or a scribbled note can bring a place back more vividly than something bought for the purpose.
These small objects carry private associations. They remind us who we were with, what we talked about, and how it felt to be there. A little archive of ordinary life, kept almost by accident.
